Elementary Vice President's Message

Hello Elementary Counselors!  Accountability continues to be WSCA’s focus for the 2006-2007 school year and as your Elementary VP and VP Elect, our goal is to help support all elementary counselors throughout the state as you continue to make a difference for your students.  Our job can be mentally, emotionally, and sometimes physically draining, yet every day we serve our schools with a commitment so strong few outside of the counseling profession understand.  Even though many of us are the only counselors in our building, we shouldn’t feel alone.  Therefore, we hope to continue to include materials and resources on this page that will be useful in your guidance program. We also invite you to email or call with any questions you have in regards to starting your own counseling program, how to promote your role as a counselor, and how to align your curriculum with the ASCA standards.   Keep up the wonderful work you do!
