Elementary Counselors
Hello Elementary Counselors! We hope you’re off to a great school year. Our position is unique because it includes so much more of the classroom dimension, as well as conducting groups, counseling individuals, conducting administrative tasks, and being a leader in our buildings and profession. The task of aligning our lesson and unit plans to academic, personal and social/emotional standards plus teaching great lessons that impact students is a challenge. We want to support you in it. The WSCA link is a great way to bounce around problems and solutions. We hope to continue to include materials and resources on this page that will be useful in your guidance program. We also invite you to email or call with any questions you have in regard to starting your own counseling program, how to promote your role as a counselor, or with ideas of how WSCA can be on the cutting edge of assisting you and other counselors throughout the State be more effective.
